Ernesh Akinrin
Paladin 9, Warlock 4
Ernesh Akinrin
Species
Aasimar
Appearance
Ernesh is a lean, long-limbed aasimar whose presence feels more like a storm held behind glass than a blessing. His brown hair falls to his shoulders in thick, weather-roughened ropes, usually tied back with strips of red siege cloth. A pale scar runs from the bridge of his nose across his left cheek, puckering the skin like a crooked stitch. His eyes are dark hazel in ordinary light, but flare with cold silver when he invokes his patron. His movements are economical and strangely quiet for an armored warrior. He walks with the measured balance of someone crossing a ship's deck, even on solid ground. The unexpected contradiction is his smile, which is warm, boyish, and almost painfully sincere, appearing most often immediately before he does something ruthless.
“Measured and low, with clipped consonants and a formal cadence inherited from royal courts. His voice becomes almost gentle when speaking to children or the wounded, while his battle commands are short enough to sound like struck metal.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale scar crossing the bridge of his nose and left cheek
Silver light visible beneath his irises when he invokes magic
A faint constellation-shaped birthmark across his upper back
A missing tip of his right ear from the night of his exile
His shadow sometimes shows winglike projections even when he has not manifested his wings
Voice
“A deep, controlled baritone with a faint rasp, as though every word has passed through smoke. When Orun-Kesh speaks through him, the voice gains a distant choral undertone.”
Clothing
Blackened plate armor covered by a sleeveless indigo war-coat, a red sash knotted at the left hip, mud-stained traveling trousers, and soft leather boots reinforced with iron strips. His armor bears old royal insignia that have been hammered nearly flat.
Body Language
Ernesh keeps his shoulders relaxed and his hands visible, but his weight is always poised over his back foot. When angered, he becomes perfectly still. When lying, he touches the scar over his nose with one knuckle.
