Nuru Bellam
Species
Human
Appearance
A lean human man stands beneath a hood as if the crowd itself has made room for him. His face is narrow and weathered, with a shallow scar running from his left temple to the corner of his eye. A rigid half-mask of dark lacquered leather covers his nose, mouth, and jaw, its surface scored with tiny horizontal grooves like a shuttered window. He moves with unnerving economy, never quite turning his head when his eyes can do the work. Afternoon light catches the rough weave of his robe and the pale dust on his boots. The unexpected contradiction is in his hands: they are broad, callused, and stained with flour, giving him the look of a baker rather than a feared arcane enforcer.
“His voice is low, dry, and carefully paced, muffled slightly by the mask. Each sentence lands with the calm finality of a door being closed.”

Distinguishing Features
Rigid black lower-face mask with shutter-like grooves
A pale scar from the left temple to the outer corner of the eye
Flour permanently embedded beneath two fingernails
A silver bakery key worn on a cord beneath his robe
Voice
“A muted baritone with a faint river-port lilt, deliberate and soft enough that people lean closer before realizing they are obeying him.”
Clothing
A plain charcoal robe with a deep hood, patched at the elbows and hem. Beneath it he wears a faded brown tunic, soft-soled boots, and a narrow belt carrying a baton, chalk, a spellcasting focus, and a ring of bakery keys. His clothing is deliberately unremarkable, though every seam has been reinforced from the inside.
Body Language
He stands slightly sideways, keeping one shoulder toward the nearest exit. His hands rest loosely at his waist, yet his fingers constantly measure the rhythm of nearby footsteps. When someone lies, he tilts his head as though listening to a distant bell.
