Mzeku Kvesani
Species
Goblin
Appearance
Mzeku is a compact goblin with copper-green skin, a broad wedge-shaped head, and a posture that seems permanently prepared to spring. He waits with one heel lifted and his weight balanced on the balls of his feet, as if the floor might suddenly become water. His ears are long and soft at the tips, but one bends forward whenever he is concentrating. His small teeth are unusually even and polished from years of chewing bitterroot, and he shows nearly all of them when he laughs, which makes his rare smiles look alarming before they become reassuring. He moves with startling quiet in armor, yet his ceremonial cloak swishes loudly enough to announce him from across a hall. The unexpected contradiction is that his hands are delicate and careful, more suited to threading beads or repairing embroidery than wielding a weapon, and he handles both duties with the same solemn precision.
“His voice is low, dry, and unexpectedly soothing for a goblin. He speaks Common with clipped court diction but slips into quick musical Goblin phrases when excited.”

Distinguishing Features
One ear bends forward whenever he concentrates.
His teeth are unusually straight, polished, and visible whenever he laughs.
He wears a royal sash whose beads are individually carved with the names of people he has protected.
He keeps his weight on one raised heel while standing still.
His armor contains several elegant patches of embroidery beneath the metal plates, gifts from palace servants.
Voice
“A quiet baritone with a soft rasp, like dry reeds brushed together. His formal announcements are measured and resonant, while his private speech becomes quick, warm, and full of small amused clicks.”
Clothing
A fitted coat of lacquered leather beneath mismatched steel plates, all repainted in the royal colors of teal and saffron. His left shoulder bears a velvet sunburst sewn over old battlefield repairs. He wears soft red wrappings around his calves, a ceremonial sash covered in tiny wooden beads, and a long guard cloak deliberately weighted at the hem so it will not flap during combat.
Body Language
He tilts his head before answering, one hand resting lightly on his shield strap. While waiting, he keeps one heel raised and rocks almost imperceptibly from side to side. When angry, he stops moving completely. When amused, his jaw opens wide enough to display his neat row of teeth, but his eyes remain watchful.
