Shesheta Adeyemi
Paladin
Shesheta Adeyemi
Species
Human
Appearance
A broad-shouldered human man in blackened plate, Shesheta moves with the careful economy of someone carrying a full cup through a crowded room. His armor is not polished. It has been rubbed with lamp oil and charcoal until it reflects light like wet stone, while the edges remain bright from constant handling. A narrow black veil hangs from the back of his helm and brushes his shoulders when he walks. He keeps his beard shaved except for a small, meticulously squared patch beneath his lower lip. Within a minute of meeting him, most people notice the smell of clove oil, iron filings, and old incense. He knows this and considers it part of his authority. The unexpected contradiction is that his gauntleted hands are astonishingly gentle, especially with frightened children, injured animals, and delicate written documents.
“Low, deliberate, and breathy at the edges, with soft sibilants that become almost soothing when he is making a threat. He rarely raises his volume.”

Distinguishing Features
His armor smells strongly of clove oil, lampblack, and iron.
A smooth iron seal hangs from his belt and is worn nearly flat from constant rubbing.
His black veil is stitched with tiny white knots, one for every person he has condemned to death.
He has unusually careful, almost tender hands despite his brutal reputation.
His boots are polished to a mirror shine while the rest of his equipment is deliberately matte.
Voice
“A controlled baritone with a dry, papery rasp. He speaks softly enough that listeners lean closer, then makes his most disturbing statements in a near whisper.”
Clothing
Blackened chain mail beneath soot-dark plate, a high-collared wool surcoat, charcoal gloves, knee-high riding boots, and a narrow red cord tied around his right wrist as a private mourning token
Body Language
He stands squarely and rarely crosses his arms. When listening, he tilts his head a few degrees as if weighing testimony. His left thumb repeatedly rubs the raised edge of his iron seal. When genuinely frightened, he becomes perfectly still rather than visibly tense.
