Kallis Kiri
Steel Keeper, Specialist
Kallis Kiri
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
Kallis has the graceful, compact presence of a dancer trained to fight in narrow corridors. His movements are quiet enough that people often realize he has entered a room only when he is already standing beside them. His skin is weathered by mountain wind and years spent outdoors, with a fine texture like sun-dried leather across his knuckles and cheeks, yet his hands are unexpectedly delicate and carefully moisturized with cedar oil. His hair falls in thick black waves to his collar, usually tied with a pale blue cord from his mother's clan. His golden-brown eyes remain almost unnervingly still while the rest of him moves. The contradictory impression is that of a young man who looks built for violence but handles cups, insects, and frightened children with ceremonial tenderness.
“Measured, courteous, and spare. Kallis pauses before important names, speaks in complete sentences, and rarely raises his volume.”

Distinguishing Features
Angel's golden blade reflects light even in deep shadow, but never reflects Kallis's face.
A small crescent-shaped patch of silver skin sits at the center of his left palm, a birthmark resembling a coin pressed into flesh.
He carries himself with such concentrated stillness that nearby conversations often quiet without anyone realizing why.
His left sleeve is embroidered with tiny blue knots, one for every execution he personally halted.
He smells faintly of cedar oil, cold iron, and dried apricots.
Voice
“A low, clear tenor with a soft rasp at the edges, like a reed flute played in cold weather”
Clothing
A dark indigo lamellar coat worn over flexible charcoal armor, fastened with small brass plates stamped with the Kiri clan's spiral sun. He wears split riding trousers, soft-soled boots, a crimson sash holding Angel, and a long cream-colored half-cloak embroidered inside with the names of executed criminals later proven innocent.
Body Language
Kallis stands with his weight balanced over the balls of his feet, as if the ground might suddenly tilt. He rarely gestures broadly, but people unconsciously make room around him. When he trusts someone, he sits with one knee drawn up and lets his shoulders loosen. When he is hiding anger, he gently smooths the cord binding his hair.
