Seln Ashvein
Artisan Guardian
Seln Ashvein
Species
Hearthmade
Appearance
A tall Hearthmade of pale river clay and driftwood ribs, sealed with thin seams of amber resin that glint like old honey. Their surface is hand-smoothed in places and rough in others, with tiny river pebbles set into the shoulders like old scars. They move with careful, deliberate grace, as if every step is weighed before it is taken, yet their right hand is chipped and angular from decades of labor. A surprising patch of soft moss grows along one collarbone and is carefully tended with droplets of lamp oil, making them look half shrine, half workshop tool.
“Low and resonant, with a furnace-warm patience. Seln speaks carefully, as though each sentence is a fitted stone they do not want to crack.”

Distinguishing Features
A cracked seam over the heart that glows faintly when they are near open flame
One hand is slightly larger than the other due to a deliberate old repair
Moss growing along the left shoulder seam
A faint smell of rain on hot stone follows them after emotional moments
Voice
“Slow, warm, and slightly gravel-grained, like a potter's wheel turning in a quiet room.”
Clothing
A soot-dark apron stitched from patched sailcloth, brass buckles, fingerless work wraps, and a faded blue mantle lined with heatproof felt. They wear a single polished copper clasp in the shape of a loaf of bread, worn as a private charm.
Body Language
Still and composed when listening, then suddenly precise in motion when action is needed. They tilt their head like a craftsman inspecting a crack, and their hands often hover near heat sources as if remembering a home fire.
