Fey
Appearance
Vask is a narrow, long-limbed fey with the unsettling stillness of a heron waiting beside a stream. His movements are abrupt but never hurried, as if invisible hands tug him from place to place. His skin has the matte gray-green texture of river stones, with tiny pale freckles clustered along his knuckles like lichen. His face is handsome at first glance, then increasingly difficult to remember. The unexpected authority of his growing power shows in the reinforced seams of his coat, the faint black thread now circling both wrists, and a new line of silver scars across his palms from cutting hostile bargains. He wears a calm, almost domestic expression while performing cruel magic, yet becomes visibly tender when tending injured animals. His immaculate hands remain always scrubbed clean, despite his occupation among graves, curses, and corpse-fed fungi.
“Low, dry, and carefully enunciated. His voice becomes almost parental when speaking to animals, but turns papery and distant when discussing his patron.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale circular scar around his throat, like a collar drawn in chalk.
His left eye is amber, while his right eye is clouded blue and reflects tiny moving stars.
A black moth permanently rests inside the hollow of his right ear.
His fingernails are ink-stained except for the thumbs, which are unnaturally clean.
He carries a string of wooden beads, each carved with a name he fears forgetting.
Fresh silver scars cross both palms from cutting hostile magical bargains.
Voice
“Low, dry, and carefully enunciated. His voice becomes almost parental when speaking to animals, but turns papery and distant when discussing his patron.”
Clothing
A patched charcoal coat lined with yellow wool, now reinforced with hidden gray-green plates and black stitching, a blue woven sash covered in tiny protective stitches, soft leather boots, and a red cord tied around his left wrist. His coat pockets contain dried mushrooms, buttons, folded scraps of names, and several smooth stones marked with dates.
Body Language
He keeps his elbows close to his ribs and often tilts his head as though listening to a distant insect. When lying, he presses his thumbnail into the center of his palm. When someone mentions his sister, his posture becomes painfully upright and his eyes fix on an empty point just over the speaker's shoulder.
