Appearance
Sesha is a small squirrel-headed woman with a narrow muzzle, bright black eyes, and ears that angle backward when she is thinking. Her russet fur is dense and soft along the cheeks but roughened into little windblown spikes across her shoulders. Her enormous tail is banded in copper, umber, and cream, with a ragged notch near the tip that gives it the silhouette of a torn pennant. She moves in quick, economical bursts, often becoming perfectly still between them. Her hands are delicate enough to thread a needle, yet scarred across the knuckles from splitting firewood and breaking locks. The unexpected impression she leaves is one of stern practicality undermined by her habit of smelling every new object before deciding whether she trusts it.
“Her voice is soft, breathy, and slightly husky, with careful sibilants and clipped pauses. She speaks as though every sentence is a package that must survive a long journey.”

Distinguishing Features
A ragged notch through the tip of her expressive tail.
A crescent-shaped burn scar beneath her right ear.
A chipped lower incisor that shows when she smiles.
A necklace of seven blackened acorns, each representing someone lost in the Kesh-Tal fire.
A habit of wearing one blue thread tied around her left wrist, replaced whenever she completes a dangerous journey.
Voice
“A low woodland murmur with a dry rasp beneath it, like leaves dragged over bark. She can make a whisper carry farther than a shout when using Nutkin cant.”
Clothing
A sleeveless moss-green vest sewn from patched wool, a rust-red sash containing small tools, soft charcoal trousers, and little leather climbing wraps around her feet. Her left shoulder is covered by a pale linen half-cape embroidered with tiny seed shapes. The fabric is carefully mended but never washed completely clean of smoke.
Body Language
Her tail serves as an emotional banner. It curls tightly around her ankles when she feels trapped, flicks once for disagreement, and rises into a broad plume when she is excited. She touches two fingers to her throat before making a difficult promise. When angry, she smiles without showing her teeth and begins organizing nearby objects into neat rows.
