Appearance

Marek Vellory looks like a man carved from polished walnut and winter leather, all long angles and contained force. His face is narrow, with a trader's sharp nose and a mouth that seems made for apologies he does not mean. One eye is a clear river gray, the other clouded with a pale scar across the lid, yet he notices more than most men with both eyes open. He walks with a slight rolling sway from years on wagon boards, as if the road still moves under him even when he stands still. His neat cuffs, ringed fingers, and immaculate gloves are at odds with the dust permanently ground into the seams of his boots. The contradiction makes him memorable, a dressed-up nobleman whose coat always smells faintly of hay, lamp oil, and rain on canvas.

Distinguishing Features

A pale scar cuts through his right eyelid and makes his blink slightly uneven.

His left pinky wears a black iron ring engraved with tiny wagon wheels.

He keeps a perfectly folded road map stitched inside his coat with red thread.

His cane is secretly a disguised measuring staff and collapsible baton.

Voice

Low, smooth, and dry, with a cultivated nobility that hardens into steel whenever he gives an order.

Clothing

A dark blue traveling coat lined with practical gray fur, a polished brass signet chain, high riding boots, fitted gloves, and a concealed leather harness for small tools and blades.

Body Language

Controlled and economical, with small hand movements, frequent glances to windows and doorways, and the habit of bracing one thumb against a belt buckle as if feeling the rhythm of wheels.
