Zephyr ibn-Marwan
Windbound Executive
Zephyr ibn-Marwan
Species
Air Genasi
Appearance
Zephyr ibn-Marwan is a tall, radiant air genasi whose movements seem to arrive a heartbeat before the rest of him. His skin has the soft gray-blue sheen of storm clouds seen through moonlight, with faint silver whorls around his throat, wrists, and temples that brighten when he is excited. His hair streams upward and sideways in perpetual invisible wind, a flamboyant mass of turquoise, white, and electric violet strands that never quite settles. His smile is dazzling and infectious, but his eyes remain watchful, constantly measuring exits, reactions, and leverage. He walks like a dancer crossing a tilting deck, never stumbling even when the floor shifts beneath him. Despite his brilliant colors and theatrical confidence, his hands are callused, scarred, and stained with black pitch from years spent repairing launch rigs himself. The contradiction leaves an impression of a peacock who could also rebuild the stage after everyone else has fled.
“His voice is warm, resonant, and perfectly projected, with the polished cadence of a master stage performer. He speaks quickly when excited, slows dramatically before important figures, and drops into a low practical murmur when addressing workers in danger.”

Distinguishing Features
Hair that rises and streams in invisible wind even indoors.
Silver spiral markings that glow faintly along his throat and wrists when he is angry.
A narrow scar beneath his left eye shaped like a hooked quotation mark.
A smile so magnetic that strangers often smile back before realizing they have agreed to listen.
Boot soles engraved with tiny route numbers from the first launchway he ever repaired.
Voice
“A rich baritone with a musical lift at the end of declarations, capable of filling a wind-scoured platform without shouting. When his composure cracks, his voice becomes startlingly soft and precise.”
Clothing
An impeccably tailored aerodynamic silk coat in storm-blue, saffron, and white, cut with overlapping panels that billow like controlled wings in an updraft. Beneath it he wears a fitted charcoal waistcoat threaded with silver route lines, a high-collared cream shirt, fingerless gloves, and polished silver-plated boots with retractable traction studs for high-altitude gantry ledges. His gold-tipped ceremonial dispatch baton hangs from a crimson sash. Every garment is expensive, but each has been modified for climbing, running, or sudden wind shifts.
Body Language
Zephyr keeps his shoulders open and his chin raised, often balancing the dispatch baton across his fingers. He circles people while speaking, as if plotting a flight path around them. When genuinely frightened, he stops moving entirely, and the sudden stillness is more alarming than his usual flamboyance.
