Meyrava Uldak
Warlock
Meyrava Uldak
Species
Half-Orc
Appearance
Meyrava is slim and long-limbed, with the compact strength of someone accustomed to hauling water, climbing rigging, and sleeping in cramped lofts. Her half-orc heritage shows in fairly small lower tusks, broad knuckles, slightly pointed ears, and a jaw that is stronger than her otherwise cute, distinctly human-like face suggests. Her skin has a warm olive-brown tone, weathered across the hands and forearms by salt wind and lye soap. Her hair is thick, dark brown, and usually braided into four uneven ropes tied with scraps of faded blue thread. She moves with a careful, floating step, as though every floor might tilt beneath her. Within a minute of meeting her, most people notice the smell of mint, lamp oil, and cold iron clinging to her clothes. The unexpected contradiction is her smile: open, dimpled, and almost girlish, even when she is discussing graveyards, curses, or murder.
“Her voice is low, clear, and unexpectedly musical, with a harbor accent that softens hard consonants. She speaks quickly when excited and very slowly when discussing the dead.”

Distinguishing Features
Small lower tusks that show clearly when she smiles but barely affect her speech.
A faint ring of silver discoloration around the nails of both hands.
A lock of hair that always lifts slightly toward the nearest body of water.
Her left sleeve is perpetually damp at the cuff and smells faintly of brine.
She wears a tiny cracked bell on a blue cord beneath her clothing, though it never produces a sound.
Voice
“A low, warm contralto with a soft rasp beneath it, like a wooden flute played near the sea. When her patron speaks through her, a second resonance appears beneath her words, as though someone is answering from inside a bell.”
Clothing
A patched charcoal dress beneath a short oilskin coat, soft leather boots, a blue scarf wrapped twice around her neck, and a belt crowded with soap, thread, chalk, dried mint, and small iron charms. Her left sleeve is always damp at the cuff, even in dry weather.
Body Language
She keeps her shoulders slightly rounded in crowds, making herself appear smaller than she is. When relaxed, she leans close and studies people's hands instead of their faces. Before casting, she presses her thumb against the inside of her wrist as though checking for a pulse that does not belong to her.
