Appearance
Naliazha Kresht is a vibrant young woman with bronzed skin, long black hair, and deep dark brown eyes that seem to look past people rather than at them. Her hair flows nearly to her knees, but individual strands lift and drift as if underwater whenever her magic stirs. She moves with a careful, floating grace, placing each foot as though testing whether the floor is real. Within a minute of meeting her, most people notice that she rarely watches faces. Her attention goes instead to doorways, ceiling corners, reflections, and the empty space immediately behind whoever is speaking. Her expression is bright and alive, almost mischievous, yet the air around her feels funereal. The unexpected contradiction is that her hands are constantly surrounded by dim twisting shadows, while her smile is warm, practical, and genuinely reassuring. Her breathing becomes audibly shallow when frightened, and the darkness around her left hand pulses in time with it.
