Zsombor Krtvész
Investigator and River Fixer
Zsombor Krtvész
Species
Ferleth
Appearance
Zsombor Krtvész is a compact, long-bodied Ferleth with russet-brown fur dusted by pale silver along the muzzle, throat, and flexible ridge of the spine. Their rounded ears are broad and velvety, each rim carefully combed into a neat scallop. Fine whiskers fan from their cheeks in layered bundles, clipped on the left side and allowed to curl freely on the right. They move with a low, rolling grace, their short legs working faster than seems possible, while their spine bends in sudden, thoughtful arcs whenever they listen. Their face is exceptionally expressive, often forming a severe frown while they are being kind. They smell faintly of cedar oil, river mud, and sugared fennel.
“A low, quick voice with clipped consonants and careful emphasis. Zsombor speaks Common fluently but retains a Ferleth rhythm that makes ordinary statements sound like counted measurements.”

Distinguishing Features
Their left whiskers are trimmed into three precise tiers, while the right side curls in an untamed spiral.
Their ears twitch independently, one tracking the nearest sound and the other tracking the speaker.
They carry a battered yellow scarf wrapped around their waist, a family heirloom associated with a ruined tea barge.
Their long body bends noticeably when they are curious, making them appear almost like a question mark.
They have a severe, judgmental expression even while offering food, money, or sincere assistance.
Voice
“Low, dry, and brisk, with sudden warmth when speaking to children, animals, or anyone who has been underestimated.”
Clothing
A moss-green sleeveless coat with many interior pockets, a cream linen shirt fastened by ceramic toggles, fitted charcoal trousers, and soft red-brown river boots. Their belt carries brass measuring calipers, sealed vials, chalk, and a little wooden abacus. A faded yellow scarf from their mother's tea barge is wrapped twice around their waist rather than their neck.
Body Language
Zsombor occupies little horizontal space but constantly changes height, crouching on benches, perching on crates, or curling their long torso around the edge of a table. Their whiskers point toward whoever is speaking. When lying, they groom the fur on their forearms with meticulous concentration.
