Appearance
Taz is a lean young human with the compact, balanced posture of someone accustomed to carrying parcels through crowded streets. Their movements are economical but never stiff, and they often stand with one heel raised as if the ground might start moving. Their hands are unusually clean for a courier, though the knuckles are roughened by rope, winter air, and constant handling of crates. Their most immediate feature is the pause before they speak: a quiet inward breath through the nose, followed by a tiny click of the tongue, as though they are sorting several possible replies. They look neatly arranged at first glance, almost prim, but one trouser cuff is always slightly damp from checking gutters, canals, and cellar entrances. The contradiction is striking: Taz dresses like a careful clerk but watches every doorway like a hunted animal.
“Concise, observant, and dryly amused. Taz speaks in clean sentences with occasional precise details that reveal they have been watching more closely than they appeared to be.”

Distinguishing Features
A brief inhalation and tongue click always precede their replies.
Their left sleeve is secured with three tiny brass laundry pins instead of ordinary cuff buttons.
They carry a small blue tile from the burned warehouse and rub its edge whenever someone mentions official investigations.
Their boots are polished to a clerk's standard but scuffed across the toes from climbing walls.
They can identify several city districts by smell and will casually name the nearest tannery, bakery, or drain.
Voice
“A low, clear contralto with a dry edge, usually calm enough to sound almost conversational during danger. Their laugh is brief and surprised, like it escaped before they could inspect it.”
Clothing
Neatly dressed in a plain oat-colored linen shirt, dark green waistcoat, fitted brown trousers, and polished ankle boots. A narrow belt carries a courier's tube, cord, chalk, and a folding knife. Every garment is well maintained but deliberately unremarkable, with hidden stitching at the pockets and reinforced seams beneath the arms.
Body Language
Taz stands naturally with one shoulder slightly forward, weight balanced on the balls of their feet. They smooth their cuffs when lying, tap two fingers against their thigh when calculating risk, and lean closer when someone mentions a missing person. Their small smiles are genuine but often arrive half a second before the joke.
