Bren Suyana
Road Warden
Bren Suyana
Species
Human
Appearance
Bren is a compact, weather-browned human with a broad back and the careful, slightly hunched posture of someone who has spent years leaning into wind. His hands are enormous compared with the rest of him, the palms ridged with pale calluses and permanently darkened around the nails by iron dust. He moves with a sideways gait, placing each foot as though the ground might change its mind. His face is plain at first glance, but his heavy lower lip, deep-set eyes, and habit of studying people's boots make him difficult to forget. He wears a cheerful yellow scarf despite insisting he hates bright colors, and keeps its frayed end tucked into his belt like a flower.
“Low, dry, and unhurried. He speaks as though every sentence is a stake driven into uncertain ground.”

Distinguishing Features
Hands broad and heavily callused, with iron-gray dust permanently embedded around the nails
A yellow scarf with one frayed end tucked into his belt like a flower
Walks sideways on loose ground and never points at anything with one finger
A faint pattern of pale circular marks across both palms from an old rope-burn treatment
Keeps his head tilted slightly, as if listening for movement beneath the earth
Voice
“A dry baritone with a tired warmth beneath it, usually quiet enough that people lean closer. When giving emergency instructions, his voice becomes startlingly clear and carries across wind.”
Clothing
A sun-bleached brown work coat patched with blue thread, loose linen trousers wrapped at the calves, cracked leather sandals, a yellow scarf, and a broad woven belt hung with hooks, cord, chalk, and small bone counters
Body Language
He occupies more space than his height suggests, bracing his feet wide and leaning forward as if resisting an invisible slope. When anxious, he rubs his thumb over the iron ring on his pry bar. He avoids eye contact while speaking honestly and stares directly at people when lying.
