Dromak Ashscar
Ranger
Dromak Ashscar
Species
Orc
Appearance
Dromak is a broad, boar-faced orc with a heavy muzzle, blunt tusks, and a nose scarred by wind and old frost rather than by a famous fight. His olive-gray skin is leathery across the cheeks and surprisingly soft at the throat, where a strip of pale skin shows beneath his jaw. His ears are small and furred at the edges, and coarse black hair grows in a short ridge from his crown to the nape of his neck. He moves with the careful, rocking balance of someone accustomed to loose scree, yet he occupies every room as if it were a battlefield, brushing doorframes and making cups tremble when he sets them down. The unexpected softness is his hands: large, callused palms with meticulously trimmed nails and a habit of touching fragile objects as though they are sleeping animals.
“Low and gravelly, with clipped sentences and sudden bursts of booming laughter. He rolls his r's heavily and uses mountain imagery in ordinary conversation.”

Distinguishing Features
A broad boar-like muzzle with ivory tusks whose tips are polished smooth from habitual rubbing.
Wind-burned cheeks patterned with fine pale lines like dried riverbeds.
A red-and-cream captain's cord tied around his left upper arm.
A habit of looking directly upward before making any important promise.
A surprisingly delicate touch when handling maps, feathers, or small animals.
Voice
“A deep, weathered baritone that can become startlingly soft when speaking to frightened people”
Clothing
A weather-darkened sleeveless hide coat over quilted leather, layered wool wraps, a red-and-cream cord marking his captaincy, reinforced trousers, and soft-soled mountain boots. His cloak is patched with scraps of old signal flags, each patch representing a patrol that returned alive.
Body Language
Dromak leans forward when listening, bringing his large face much too close to the speaker. In danger he becomes nearly motionless, while in conversation he gestures with his whole arms and regularly forgets how much space he occupies. When embarrassed, he pats both tusks as if checking that they are still there.
