Appearance
Dog is a narrow, weathered man with the wary posture of someone accustomed to sleeping beside loaded weapons. He moves in small, sudden adjustments, never quite standing still, as if an invisible tide is rocking the deck beneath him. His skin is roughened by salt, smoke, and old rope burns. One side of his face looks almost boyish, with a soft cheek and a chipped front tooth, while the other is puckered by a pale burn scar that pulls his mouth into what resembles a permanent half-smile. His hands are broad and callused, yet he handles tiny objects with delicate patience. He leaves an impression of damp wool, iron filings, and a dog that has just heard its name called from another room. The contradiction is immediate: he looks half-starved and harmless, but his eyes follow throats, exits, and the weight of every weapon in reach.
“Dog speaks quickly and warmly, as if every conversation might end before he has finished. He drops his voice for secrets, raises it for praise, and occasionally slips into a solemn whisper when describing violence.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale burn scar distorts the left side of his smile.
One front tooth is chipped into a triangular point.
His right wrist remains marked by a permanent iron ring from an old restraint.
A blackened command brand sits beneath his collarbone.
He wears a red officer's scarf despite insisting that he hates officers.
Voice
“A rough, eager tenor with a dry rasp beneath it, like laughter dragged across a rusted hinge”
Clothing
A rough brown tunic patched with sailcloth, frayed trousers, tar-stained boots, and a short red scarf stolen from a dead officer. The tunic bears a blackened circular brand near the collar and several small burn holes from Vrazka's command word.
Body Language
Dog keeps his shoulders slightly hunched and his head tilted toward the nearest conversation. His chained hand is often raised halfway, like an eager student volunteering for punishment. When he lies, he smiles with only the scarred side of his mouth. When he feels safe, his feet tap an irregular rhythm resembling a ship's hull creaking in waves.
