Appearance
Yazi is a long-limbed young man who moves with the loose balance of someone accustomed to rooftops, wagon roofs, and shifting ground. His black beard is scruffy but carefully trimmed around the mouth, while his salt-and-pepper hair gives him the unsettling appearance of a much older veteran. He smiles quickly, showing one slightly chipped upper incisor, and watches every doorway before he watches a speaker. His hands are never still. They drift over buckles, knife hilts, coins, and seams as if the entire world were a lock waiting to be tested. He dresses like a traveling gambler who expects violence before supper. The contradictory impression is that, beneath his swagger and predatory alertness, he has an almost shy tenderness around animals and children.
“Fast, bright, and deliberately overconfident. Yazi speaks in crisp bursts, turning every sentence into a wager or challenge.”

Distinguishing Features
His eyes constantly track reflective surfaces, never settling on a speaker for more than a few seconds unless he is deeply sincere.
The right cuff of his coat is worn almost white from drawing blink knives thousands of times.
He carries a small cracked silver bowl that he taps with one fingernail before making an important decision.
His salt-and-pepper hair is far too gray for his age, with the pale streak beginning at the crown and spreading in thin metallic threads.
He has a chipped upper incisor that becomes visible whenever his confidence is real rather than performed.
Voice
“A warm, quick-tongued baritone with a dry rasp at the edges, like a polished coin dragged across stone.”
Clothing
A charcoal travel coat with a high split tail, layered over a faded russet tunic and close-fitting dark trousers. His boots are soft-soled and reinforced at the toes. A silver-threaded scarf is wrapped twice around his neck, and the right cuff of his coat is polished nearly smooth from years of drawing blink knives. He wears no obvious insignia, but the inner lining contains dozens of stitched pockets.
Body Language
Yazi lounges as though every chair belongs to him, but his feet remain angled toward the nearest exit. He leans close when lying and steps back when telling the truth. His gaze visits reflective surfaces constantly, especially polished buckles and the dark glass of windows. When angered, he becomes unnaturally still, with his thumb resting against Sinner's guard.
