Species

Appearance
A slim young human woman with compact climber's musculature, strong wiry forearms, and a narrow-shouldered posture that keeps her balanced as if every floor might shift beneath her. Her warm olive-brown skin is wind-weathered across the cheeks and knuckles. Storm-gray eyes flecked with amber rarely rest on the person speaking. Instead, they travel to exits, hands, rooflines, and the feet of anyone standing too still. Her broad expressive mouth usually settles into a calm line, though one blunt lower canine shows when she gives a tired smile. Her uneven dark-brown hair reaches her shoulders, sun-faded at the ends and cut in rough knife strokes, with one lock falling across her jaw and a short tuft at the nape. She moves quietly and forward, shield shoulder leading, yet her hands are unexpectedly gentle with frightened animals, children, and damaged objects. The impression she leaves is of a rain-darkened fence post that has learned to walk away before the flood reaches it.
“Low and even, with a dry warmth that becomes unexpectedly tender around children and animals. She speaks in concise phrases, often pausing to listen for environmental sounds before finishing a thought.”

Distinguishing Features
Her eyes constantly map exits, hands, and footing instead of holding steady eye contact.
She wears a faded blue scarf around her wrist and touches it before making a difficult promise.
Her shield is covered in old ferry tally marks, including several that have been deliberately scratched out.
One lower canine is blunt and subtly visible when she smiles.
Despite her battered equipment, she keeps the tiny blue stitches around one cuff exceptionally neat.
Voice
“A low, steady voice with a faint river-country cadence. She sounds most authoritative when whispering and most uncertain when trying to express affection.”
Clothing
A rain-stiffened brown gambeson beneath battered dark chainmail, patched charcoal trousers, mud-stained boots, and a faded blue scarf wrapped twice around her wrist. Tiny blue stitches circle one cuff. The scarf is repeatedly washed and carefully mended, unlike nearly everything else she owns.
Body Language
She keeps her shield shoulder slightly forward and angles her body between vulnerable people and open space. When listening, she tilts her head toward the speaker while keeping her eyes on the room. Her fingers often tap old ferry-tally marks on her shield in groups of three.
