Sister Bryony Fenn
Species
Wood Elf
Appearance
Sister Bryony Fenn is a slender wood elf woman whose movements are almost noiseless, not graceful so much as carefully measured, like a plant bending around an obstacle rather than stepping aside. Her pale green-tinted skin has the matte texture of young leaves dusted with ash, and faint networks of darker green show along her wrists when she is angry or using magic. Wild copper-brown hair spills around her shoulders in tangled ropes woven with dried seed pods, pale canyon lichen, bone-white rootlets, and tiny paper labels written in her own hand. Her calm amber eyes rarely blink, even while she handles venomous thorns inches from her face. The fingers of both hands are permanently stained deep indigo and toxic yellow from years of extracting medicinal compounds. She leaves behind the contradictory impression of a gentle woodland healer and a patient carrion insect waiting for something to die.
“A low, breathy voice with precise diction and long, thoughtful pauses. Bryony sounds reassuring even when describing fatal symptoms.”

Distinguishing Features
Unblinking amber eyes that reflect green light in darkness.
Permanent indigo and toxic-yellow stains on her fingers.
A thin line of pale fungal growth beneath her left ear.
Seed pods woven into her hair that rattle softly when no wind is present.
A calm smile that appears only when someone mentions a particularly lethal poison.
Voice
“A soft contralto, almost toneless when treating patients and unexpectedly affectionate when addressing plants. Her laughter is rare, brief, and dry as seed pods rattling in a winter wind.”
Clothing
A supple treated-leather herbalist's coat in moss green and weathered brown, lined with dozens of glass vials, root-powder pouches, folded bandages, seed packets, and fresh clippings of nightshade, stinging vine, and ghost nettle. She wears soft split-toe boots, a belt made from braided river reeds, and a copper respirator mask usually hanging at her throat.
Body Language
Bryony stands with her head slightly tilted toward nearby roots or fungal growths. She rarely gestures broadly. Instead, she moves with small, deliberate motions, brushing imaginary soil from her sleeves, tapping vial stoppers, or resting two fingers against a wall as though feeling for a pulse beneath the stone. During combat, her posture remains relaxed until the instant she attacks, when her limbs unfold with startling speed.
