Svala Shunqara
Cleric
Svala Shunqara
Species
High Elf
Appearance
Svala is tall and narrow, with the taut posture of a spear shaft and the measured gait of someone crossing thin ice. She never fully turns her head when listening. Instead, one ear angles toward the speaker while her eyes remain fixed upon the nearest exit. Her jaw is slightly too broad for an elf, and her upper canine teeth show when she smiles. She eats with startling efficiency, biting cleanly through hard bread and dried meat, then wiping her lips with two fingers before speaking. Her hands are delicate, but her knuckles are swollen from years of striking burial stones during rites. She gives the impression of quiet severity until some small animal enters the room, at which point her entire face softens.
“Low, precise, and breathy, with clipped consonants and occasional archaic Andean loan-words learned from mountain traders.”

Distinguishing Features
Broad elven jaw with visible upper canine teeth when she smiles or eats.
Never walks heel-first. Her steps are soft, deliberate, and slightly favor the left leg.
A thin silver thread is braided through the hair above her right temple.
Her fingernails are stained permanently white from funerary salt.
She carries a small stone tablet covered in names, some of which have been violently scratched away.
Voice
“A dry contralto with a faint rasp, quiet enough to compel listeners to silence themselves”
Clothing
A dark blue wool robe beneath articulated steel plates, a salt-white sash, high boots wrapped in red cord, and a weatherproof mantle clasped with a flat piece of carved antler
Body Language
She stands unnervingly still while others speak, but her left thumb rubs the rim of her holy symbol in a constant circular motion. When danger nears, she shifts her weight onto the balls of her feet and angles her shield toward the weakest person present.
