Over centuries, these teachings became a loose network of dragon temples, traveling mediators, ancestral keepers, and secluded cults.

The east is the oldest horizon, where the first dawn struck three primordial eggs. Huang-Long hatched from the egg of enduring metal, Yamato No Orochi from the egg of severed shadow, and King Kirin emerged between them from the shell's unbroken silence. The world is believed to remain stable only because their three powers pull against one another across the heavens.

The faith has no supreme mortal authority. Instead, it consists of three overlapping traditions: the Bronze Houses of Huang-Long, the Unbound Circles of Yamato No Orochi, and the Quiet Roads of King Kirin. The Bronze Houses preserve law and ancestry; the Unbound Circles are decentralized and often secretive; the Quiet Roads are itinerant networks of healers and mediators. Each tradition considers the other two necessary, dangerous, and perpetually incomplete.

The Dragons Of The East rarely answer prayers directly. Their influence arrives through weather, dreams, dragon migrations, unusual births, broken dynasties, omens in metal or jade, and sudden changes in the behavior of animals. Temples are usually isolated observatories, roadside shrines, mountain monasteries, or ancestral halls rather than urban institutions. Priests of the three gods may cooperate for generations, then become enemies after interpreting the same omen in different ways.

The dead pass through the Far Eastern Gate, where Huang-Long weighs the shape of their vows, Yamato No Orochi tests the truth of their desires, and King Kirin listens for the harmony they brought into the world. The worthy are not rewarded with permanence but with distance: they become ancestral lights seen across winter skies, able to guide the living only through dreams and omens. Those who betrayed every bond are drawn into Orochi's endless coils, while the most balanced souls rest beneath Kirin's quiet celestial fields.
