Features
One Coherent Religion
Tenets, holy days, sacred animals, and conflicts are written as one set, not as independent draws. The pantheon reads as a religion, not a list.
Edit Any Field
Every value is editable inline. Rename a deity, rewrite a tenet, swap an alignment, adjust the holy text. Nothing is read-only.
Spawn Deities As NPCs
Promote any deity to a full NPC entity with one click. The relationship is wired automatically, so the pantheon and its avatars stay linked.
FAQ
How many gods can I generate at once?
Between 3 and 12 per pantheon. The cap is for LLM coherence. Beyond 12 the pantheon starts to feel thin and the deities blur together.
Can I steer specific deities?
Yes. Detailed mode reveals a seed card per deity where you can hint at a domain, alignment, or theme. Empty hints are invented for you, so you only fill in what matters.
Can I link a deity to a real NPC?
Yes. Every deity has a Spawn as NPC action that creates a full NPC entity linked back to the pantheon, so high priests, avatars, and mortal vessels stay in the same world graph.
Does Pantheon work with Session Prep bundles?
Yes. There is a Religion and Mythos template that pairs a pantheon with a settlement, a clerical faction, and three NPCs for a session-ready religion.
What is the CharGen Pantheon Generator?
The CharGen Pantheon Generator is an AI tool that builds complete fantasy pantheons — gods, tenets, sacred motifs, cosmology, and shared mythos — for tabletop RPG campaigns in under 60 seconds. Each generated pantheon includes a thematic name and tagline, a world tone (kind, distant, wrathful, mortal-engaged, warring), an alignment spread, an origin myth, a cosmology, the pantheon's structure, internal conflicts, mortal relations, an afterlife system, and a roster of named deities — each with title, domains, alignment, rank, holy day, sacred colors and animals, tenets, worshipper rites, and allies and enemies.
Unlike generic worldbuilding tools, pantheons link their deities into a network of allies and rivals through the World Codex relationship graph, so the politics of belief stay internally consistent across sessions. Outputs export to PDF, share as public crawlable pages, and link from session prep bundles. Compatible with D&D 5E, Pathfinder 2E, and system-agnostic fantasy. Free tier; richer pantheons and premium models on Plus and above.
