The shop's valuable stock and records are kept in a cramped rear storeroom behind the counter. A latch bell and Bryn's habit of sleeping in the adjoining room make a quiet theft difficult.

Security check: DC 24Thievery
If they fail: A brass bell tied to the storeroom latch rings behind the counter. Bryn blocks the front door and shouts for the neighboring watch patrol. The first failed attempt costs the party time and gives the shopkeeper a clear description; resisting or attacking turns the incident into a serious local crime.
The whole haul: About 56 gp
