The shop's name comes from the sharp clang of its sign-chain every dawn, when the first breeze shakes it against the iron bracket. The narrow storefront smells of lamp oil, leather, and warm metal. Blades hang high along one wall, shields line the other, and customers must squeeze past a repair bench crowded with buckles and half-mended straps. Olek is a broad-shouldered, quiet armorer with a burn-scarred apron and a habit of testing every purchased blade with a thumb-nail tap. He is patient with honest questions, brisk with haggling, and keeps the back passage bell rigged to a nearly invisible tripwire.
