The shop is called The Blue Hush, named for the soft blue glow that settles over its front windows at dusk. Inside, narrow shelves hold stoppered bottles, charm cords, and scroll tubes arranged beneath a ceiling crowded with dried herbs. The air smells of lavender, hot wax, and rain on stone. Every few minutes a tiny chime sounds from somewhere among the shelves, though no one can ever find which one rang. Sefu, a middle-aged human wizard with close-cropped hair and ink-dark fingertips, speaks gently and keeps a watchful eye on anyone near the back counter. He gives practical advice, dislikes haggling over healing draughts, and insists customers test no spell components inside the shop.
