About

The forge's bellows give a low, wheezing groan that Göktaş insists is a useful warning when someone slips in through the side door. He records every order in a careful hand and can identify a regular customer's weapon by its repair marks. The apprentice keeps the front swept but leaves a trail of iron filings wherever they go.

Stash

4 items to steal

The stash · GM only

The shop's modest cash and personal effects are kept within reach of the counter; higher-value work and the order ledger are stored behind a barred interior door. The forge's heat, clanging tools, and narrow aisles make quiet movement difficult while the shop is open.

Security check: DC 15Dexterity (Stealth), with thieves' tools for the stockroom lock
If they fail: A bell wired to the rear door rings through the forge. Göktaş blocks the narrow workshop exit with a polearm while his apprentice calls the town watch. If caught, the party is held until the watch arrives, and Göktaş demands the stolen goods back and payment for any damage.
The whole haul: About 52 gp

Sales Pouch18 gp
Kept: Under the counter, tied to a ring beside the till.
A leather cash pouch containing mixed coins from the day's sales, mostly silver with a few gold pieces.
Value: 18 gp, 7 sp
Göktaş's Locket3 gp
Kept: In a small drawer beside the forge's quench trough.
A brass locket with a tiny portrait inside and a ribbon worn smooth from handling.
Silver Hilt Fittings25 gp
Kept: Wrapped in oiled cloth on the upper shelf of the locked stockroom.
A matched set of silver-inlaid dagger hilts awaiting delivery. The blades are unfinished, but the fittings are valuable to a fence or metalworker.
Order Ledger5 gp
Kept: On a shelf behind the counter, beneath a stack of invoices.
A ledger listing outstanding orders, customer deposits, and the dates when town guards are due to collect repaired weapons.
Value: 5 gp to the right buyer; damaging if used to expose unpaid debts
