About

Hazimir Redborn whistles tunelessly while working and slips a complimentary iron nail into purchases that need securing. He remembers customers by what they broke, not by their names.

Stash

4 items to steal

The stash · GM only

The most tempting valuables sit behind the counter and beneath the workbench, while Hazimir’s personal effects are kept in the cramped back room. The shop’s bell-hung front door and the neighboring yard make a quiet escape difficult.

Security check: DC 15Dexterity check with thieves’ tools
If they fail: A misplaced tool clatters across the stone floor, drawing Hazimir from the forge and alerting the night porter in the adjoining yard. Hazimir blocks the main door, calls for the porter, and demands the intruders put down their weapons; if they resist, he raises the alarm in the Dusthallow District.
The whole haul: About 39 gp

Counter Purse8 gp
Kept: Under the broad sales counter, tucked behind a stack of order slips
A leather coin purse with mixed silver and copper, the day’s small change rather than the shop’s full takings.
Value: 8 gp, 6 sp
Hazimir’s Keepsake Box2 gp
Kept: In a narrow drawer beside the back-room cot
A small tin keepsake box holding a worn family token and a folded note in Hazimir’s blunt handwriting.
Value: 2 gp for the token; more to Hazimir
Unclaimed Fittings18 gp
Kept: In a labeled wooden tray beneath the workbench
A handful of stamped brass fittings and a silver-inlaid buckle set aside for a customer who has not yet collected them.
Order Ledger10 gp
Kept: In the locked cabinet behind the counter
A ledger of customer names, deposits, and scheduled deliveries. Its pages could expose who ordered weapons and when, though it is valuable mainly to the right buyer.
Value: 10 gp to a fence or rival; potentially more for its information
