(20)A sturdy ashwood staff with a forked end, useful for walking, prodding suspicious floors, or carrying a bedroll.
A serviceable canvas pack with leather straps and a pair of exterior pockets.
Coiled hemp rope, rough to the touch but carefully inspected for weak fibers.
A bundle of twelve tallow candles wrapped in waxed paper.
A stoppered clay flask filled with smoky lamp oil.
A compact fire-starting kit sold to travelers, hunters, and anyone who looks likely to sleep outdoors.
A sealed glass vial of clear acid stored in a padded wooden sleeve.
A clay flask packed in sawdust, marked with a red flame and a warning not to shake it.
A dark green poison in a narrow vial, sold only after the buyer signs a simple liability slate.
A practical traveling cloak treated with pine resin. It smells faintly of wet needles when warmed by a fire.
Hardtack, smoked beans, dried fruit, and salted meat sealed in a waxed cloth sack.
A thumb-sized tin of gray beeswax mixed with powdered charcoal and crushed leaves. It dulls boot edges and breaks up the clean outline of a footprint.
Straight-grained arrows with goose-feather fletching and blunt practice shafts mixed into every bundle.
Iron-headed bolts packed in a narrow wooden case to keep the fletching dry.
Ruby-red restorative liquid in a padded ceramic bottle. The shop keeps only two beneath the counter.
A bitter medicinal draught made from common herbs and carefully measured salts.
A balanced handaxe with a plain iron head and a wrapped wood handle.
A stout shortbow suitable for militia service, hunting, or a newly equipped adventurer.
Padded armor reinforced with waxed canvas at the shoulders and ribs. Less expensive than leather, but warmer and noisier.
A round wooden shield faced with boiled hide and fitted with an iron boss.

Shop Atmosphere
“The Tallow Measure is a broad, low-ceilinged general store built from an older candle-making workshop. Its name comes from the tallow trade that financed the building, and the original rendered-stone basin still serves as the shop's weighing table. Shelves crowd every wall, carrying lamp oil, rope, flour, nails, soap, travel gear, arrows, cheap cookware, and a few carefully guarded adventuring necessities. The air is layered with beeswax, dried onions, leather, dust, and the sharp medicinal scent of herbs. A string of brass bells above the door gives a cheerful jangle for honest customers and an unnerving rattle for anyone trying to move too quietly after dark. Behind the counter, Pázsi Kerek is a compact human shopkeeper with an off-beat cadence, a square beard, and a habit of tapping prices into the wood with one knuckle before naming them. He knows the weight of nearly every crate by touch, remembers unpaid debts without consulting his ledger, and treats adventurers as both valued customers and likely sources of breakage. He is a level 4 Commoner with strong merchant instincts, proficiency with merchant's tools, and a loaded light crossbow kept for emergencies. The store is open from first gray light until the last market bell, with the rear storeroom and office secured after dusk.”
