About

The shop's old iron shutters groan like a furnace door whenever they are raised. Sheshti insists the noise means they are properly oiled, despite the obvious contradiction.

Stash

5 items to steal

The stash · GM only

The shop's modest cash and personal effects are kept in the cramped rear office behind the public sales floor. Records are locked away, while a bell wire and barred shutters make a quick smash-and-grab risky.

Security check: DC 17Dexterity (Thieves' Tools)
If they fail: A failure by 5 or more sets off a bell wire hidden beneath the counter. Sheshti raises the iron shutters, blocks the street-facing entrance, and calls the night watch; a watch patrol arrives in 1d4 rounds. Lesser failures leave signs of tampering, and Sheshti confronts the party if they return.
The whole haul: About 466 gp

Counter Till38 gp
Kept: In a locked drawer beneath the sales counter, behind a false wooden bottom.
The day's small-change float, mostly silver and copper, with a few gold coins tucked beneath a ledger.
Value: 38 gp, 7 sp, 9 cp
Sheshti's Family Clasp2 gp
Kept: On a peg beside the small cot in the rear office.
A worn brass clasp engraved with a dragonborn hatchling's name. It is of little market value but clearly cherished.
Garnet Keepsake250 gp
Kept: Inside a tin box beneath the cot, tucked behind spare boots.
A palm-sized garnet wrapped in a scrap of blue cloth, kept as a private emergency reserve.
Patrol Order Ledger100 gp
Kept: In a locked cabinet in the rear office, beside the workroom door.
A compact ledger listing armor orders, deposits, and delivery dates for city patrols. It could implicate customers or help identify valuable consignments.
Value: 100 gp to a rival, or leverage against named clients
Forgemaster's Assay Slips75 gp
Kept: Rolled inside a brass tube on the upper shelf of the office cabinet.
A small collection of signed receipts and assay marks tied to the armory's consignments of enchanted steel.
