(16)A sturdy iron-bladed knife with a wrapped wooden grip. The shopkeeper keeps several beneath the counter for travelers who need a practical weapon.
A balanced handaxe with a plain ash haft. These are sold mostly to woodsmen, caravan guards, and farmers clearing overgrown land.
A simple leather sling bundled with a pouch of rounded clay and lead bullets. Cheap, compact, and popular with villagers who cannot afford a bow.
A quilted canvas vest stuffed with wool and layered beneath a weatherproof outer shell. It is plain but serviceable protection for laborers and travelers.
A round wooden shield reinforced with an iron rim. Each bears the shop's painted mark, a white lantern on green.
A canonical healing draught sold in a squat red-glass vial. It smells faintly of cherries and bitter roots.
A wrapped ration of hard cheese, dried meat, oatcake, and a small apple. The food is plain but carefully packed for travel.
A durable hempen sack useful for hauling goods, gathering forage, or hiding suspiciously large amounts of merchandise.
Coarse but reliable hemp rope, sold in tightly wound coils. The shopkeeper tests every length by suspending a weighted crate from it.
A tallow candle sealed in a small tin cup. The shop's cheapest light source burns with a smoky yellow flame.
A practical hooded lantern with a sliding shutter and brass handle. Several hang from hooks near the front door, ready for immediate sale.
A sealed clay flask of lamp oil. The shopkeeper refuses to sell more than six flasks to anyone who appears intoxicated or careless with fire.
A dent-resistant tin water flask with a cork stopper and leather loop. Each one is stamped with the name of a local coppersmith.
A compact travel kit for repairing clothing, packs, and torn canvas. The colorful thread spools are displayed in a shallow wooden tray.
A writing bundle intended for travelers, apprentices, and minor officials. The parchment is rough, but the ink is dark and dependable.
A custom blend of blue locksmith's wax sold in a wooden tin. The shopkeeper claims it was developed by a retired burglar who now refuses to discuss his past.

Shop Atmosphere
“The Green Lantern General Store occupies a narrow timber-and-stone building on a busy road, its green-painted shutters and brass lantern sign visible from a block away. The front room is crowded but meticulously organized, with adventuring gear hanging from ceiling beams, sacks of grain stacked beneath shelves of crockery, and barrels of nails, salt, flour, and lamp oil lining the walls. A bell jingles whenever the front door opens, while a second set of bells protects the rear storeroom. The air smells of cedar, dried herbs, leather, and lamp oil. Behind the counter sits Merra Voss, a sharp-eyed human woman in her early fifties with iron-gray hair braided around a copper bead. She wears a leather apron covered in pockets and remembers the name and usual purchases of nearly every local customer. Merra is practical rather than cruel, offers fair prices to honest travelers, and becomes quietly suspicious when someone asks too many questions about locks, ledgers, or closing hours. Her shop cat, Tallow, sleeps beneath the counter but wakes instantly when unfamiliar footsteps cross the storeroom threshold.”
