Those known as Solar-Scarred serve as living conduits for the harshest aspects of the sun, forced to balance their internal purifying fire with the fragile reality of the material world. They are often scholars, crusaders, or eccentric keepers of lost lore who must physically restrain the holy power that threatens to burn through their very skin.

A Lux-Vessel often appears as an exceptionally striking human with minor tell-tale signs of their heritage, such as metallic gold eyes or hair that gleams like polished copper. The Solar-Scarred variety is marked by a more intense and often volatile physiology. Their skin may appear translucent in certain lighting, revealing a web of golden energy beneath the surface that pulses with their heartbeat. When their inner light is unleashed, their eyes turn into twin beacons of blinding white, and small fissures of radiance may open across their limbs, leaking heat and starlight.

They rarely form independent nations, instead dwelling within existing societies where they often rise to positions of moral or intellectual leadership. Because of their inherent connection to the divine, they are frequently viewed with either extreme reverence or suspicion. The Solar-Scarred specifically feel a kinship with gods of purification and justice, viewing themselves as tools of necessary transition.

While they lack a homeland, they favor architecture that utilizes verticality and light. They prefer structures with vast skylights, sun-clocks, and reflective surfaces that catch the dawn and dusk. In colder climates, they often dwell in thermal spring sites where the earth's heat matches their internal temperature.

They get along well with elf-like and dwarf-like peoples who respect tradition and long-term legacies. They are often perceived as aloof or overly intense by more impulsive lineages. Many Lux-Vessels feel a strange, melancholy responsibility toward humanity, acting as self-appointed guardians or mentors to 'shorter-lived' souls.
