Meadowfox Matriarchs are a striking race of fox-like women known for their immense physical presence and fierce survivalist culture. Often appearing as territorial hunters or nomadic protectors of the plains, they balance a predatory grace with a monumental physique that commands attention in any environment.

Possessing a human-like appearance save for their triangular fox ears and a long, bushy tail, the Matriarchs are most notable for their extreme anatomical development. They possess upper torsos of incredible volume, often described as the size of large laundry baskets or shelving units, which necessitates a great deal of core strength and a distinctive, swaying gait. Their attire is almost universally minimalist, consisting of scavenged or purposely distressed bras and undergarments that are tight-fitting and often torn from the stresses of their active lifestyles and vast proportions. Their skin is usually sun-kissed from plains life, and their hair colors reflect the oranges, reds, and creams of a fox's pelt.

Their culture is matriarchal and based on the principle of presence as power. In the open plains, visibility is everything. They operate in loose prides where the women with the most commanding physical forms lead the hunts. They view heavy armor and restrictive clothing as a sign of weakness or shame, preferring to display their bodies and their battle-worn undergarments as badges of hardiness. They are highly territorial toward outsiders but possess a ribald and earthy sense of humor among their own kind.

Many Matriarchs follow the tenets of a Great Mother Fox or spirits of the Wind and Grass. They lean toward Neutral or Chaotic alignments, valuing individual freedom and the raw cycle of the hunt over the complex laws of civilization. While often perceived as 'monstrous' by urbanites, they are simply fiercely protective of their ancestral grazing lands.

They live in the vast, rolling tallgrass prairies. Their architecture is subtle, often consisting of dug-outs or low-slung pavilions made of hide and bone that stay below the grass line to avoid detection by large predators. These homes are surprisingly comfortable and filled with plush bedding for the comfort of their heavy frames.

Matriarchs have a strained relationship with more 'modest' humanoid cultures who often mistake their natural attire for aggression or decadence. They find dwarf-like mountain dwellers stuffy and elf-like foresters too frail. They respect orcs and other physically powerful species, often engaging in ritual wrestling to establish dominance or friendship.
