Creature TypeHumanoid
Play a Blooded Skull Orc if you want to embody a towering, scent-driven warrior of the wastes who perceives the world through vibrations and pheromones rather than light. You are a survivor of the Desertstone, covered in the ritual scars of your victories and possessing a physical presence that dwarfs almost any other humanoid.
Physical Description
Standing between seven and nine feet tall, these orcs possess a monolithic physical presence defined by corded, rope-like muscle and thick, slate-gray skin. Their most striking feature is their milky white eyes, which are entirely devoid of pupils and functionally blind to light. Instead, they navigate using oversized, flared nostrils and a sensitivity to ground vibrations. Every adult is a living tapestry of ritual scarring, with deep welts and patterns cut into their hide to signify rank, kills, and spiritual milestones.
Society & Culture
Society is a strict meritocracy based on the 'Code of the Red Mark.' Leadership is not inherited but seized through displays of survival and martial skill. They are nomadic, following the seasonal migration of dust-striders and underground water tables. Every member of the tribe is expected to contribute to the collective defense, and cowardice is punished by the removal of one's ritual scars, a process more painful and shameful than death itself.
Religion & Alignment
They primarily worship the Earth-Mother and the Iron-Suns, deities that represent the unforgiving nature of the Desertstone. Most Blooded Skulls lean toward Lawful Neutral or Neutral alignments, valuing the survival of the tribe and the sanctity of their blood-laws above abstract concepts of good or evil.
Homelands & Architecture
Their homeland is the Desertstone, a vast expanse of jagged red rocks and shifting dunes. Because they are nomadic, they do not build permanent cities. Instead, they utilize collapsible bone-frame tents covered in the cured hides of desert behemoths. During the hottest months, they retreat into ancestral limestone caverns where the walls are etched with the history of their people.
Relationships With Other Peoples
They view 'soft-skins' from the greener lands with a mixture of pity and skepticism. While they are not inherently aggressive toward peaceful traders, they have a long-standing rivalry with the desert-dwelling goblin-kin who compete for the same watering holes. They respect dwarves for their physical hardiness and often trade rare desert ores for dwarven steel.
