Embermaw are tall, powerfully built humanoids with broad shoulders, long tails, clawed hands, and fine scales that range from charcoal black to copper, ivory, crimson, brass, or deep green. Their faces carry a distinct draconic cast, with swept horns, heavy brows, slit pupils, and tooth-lined jaws. Each Embermaw possesses a specialized throat organ capable of expelling a short burst of elemental force. Their scales hold heat well, making them pleasantly warm to the touch and unusually comfortable near ovens, forges, and desert suns. Scent is important to them, and many wear fragrant oils, spice beads, or small copper charms that click softly against their horns.
