Play a Vulpis-Bane if you want to embody a strike-first survivor from the golden plains, possessing a magnetic presence and a reputation for being a formidable, if chaotic, wanderer.
Physical Description
The Vulpis-Bane appear almost entirely as human women of striking beauty, distinguished only by the presence of large, pointed fox ears atop their heads and a singular, thick, bushy fox tail. Their physiology is notably curvaceous, characterized by exceptionally large chests and wide hips that many outsiders find distracting. Their clothing is notoriously minimal, usually consisting of rugged, tightly-fitting undergarments and bras that often appear frayed or torn from the rigors of combat and wilderness survival, highlighting their predatory physique.
Society & Culture
They live in loose-knit marauder bands across the high grasslands. Their culture prizes physical dominance and the thrill of the chase above all else. They do not value wealth for its own sake, often discarding heavy armor or elaborate robes for the freedom of movement afforded by their sparse, scavenged attire. Their hierarchy is matriarchal, led by the 'Primal Huntress' who can track a scent across leagues of dust and wind.
Religion & Alignment
The Vulpis-Bane are rarely lawful, favoring the chaotic freedom of the open sky. They worship the Sun-Father and the Spirit of the Red Fox. While many are perceived as 'enemy women' due to their habit of raiding caravans for supplies, they are rarely truly evil, merely prioritising the survival of their kin over the laws of distant kingdoms.
Homelands & Architecture
They do not build permanent cities. Their homes are collapsible leather pavilions arranged in circles on the plains. Architecture is considered a cage to them; they prefer the horizon as their walls and the stars as their ceiling.
Relationships With Other Peoples
They have a complicated history with humans and elf-like races. While they are often hired as scouts or mercenaries, their propensity for 'aggressive requisitioning' of supplies leads to frequent skirmishes. They find the heavily armored civilizations of dwarf-like folk humorous and impractical.
