They carry names, obligations, recipes, maps, and the stubborn conviction that no road is truly lost while someone remembers how to walk it.

Kveshi are broadly human in form, with tremendous variation in skin tone, hair texture, facial structure, and build. Their bodies are shaped by environment and occupation more than by any single ancestral type. Many have strong hands, weathered eyes, and a deliberate way of standing that suggests they are always ready to lift, carry, climb, or leave. Kveshi commonly decorate themselves with woven cords, beadwork, painted fingertips, scar patterns, or small metal tokens representing family promises. Many honor household ancestors, guardian spirits of roads and rivers, saints of craft, or divine figures associated with fire, harvest, judgment, and safe passage. Their ceremonies often involve shared food, repaired tools, recited names, and a promise made aloud before witnesses. Kveshi traditions favor lawful and good-minded behavior, but individual Kveshi may be fiercely independent, pragmatic, devout, skeptical, or rebellious.

Kveshi homelands are defined by thresholds rather than borders. A village may include a common hall, a shrine for travelers, covered workspaces, guest rooms, and a public oven or cooking hearth. Their architecture favors adaptable spaces, repairable materials, broad eaves, shaded courtyards, and visible doors. Even wealthy Kveshi households usually preserve a humble entrance where any weary traveler may ask for water.

Kveshi trade freely with nearly every ancestry and are often found acting as interpreters, merchants, guides, diplomats, craftspeople, or hosts. They respect communities that maintain strong mutual obligations, regardless of whether those communities are wealthy or poor. Kveshi relationships can become strained when other peoples view generosity as weakness or treat ancestral customs as quaint obstacles. Among themselves, Kveshi are fond of vigorous argument, adopted kinship, and hospitality that borders on competitive excess.
