Animated Coral resemble humanoid figures formed from living coral, mineral shelves, shell plates, and translucent tissue. Their bodies may be branching, fanlike, knotted, or delicately latticed, with smooth cavities where eyes, mouths, and joints would otherwise be expected. Some revere oceanic powers, ancient earth spirits, or deities of growth and memory. Their communal traditions tend toward lawful or neutral outlooks, but individuals may become fiercely chaotic when resisting imposed roles. They may find highly mobile cultures difficult to understand, especially those that abandon settlements or discard useful objects.
