The Forge of Eternity
A grand, hard-to-find forge known as the Forge of Eternity. It appears only to those who have a worthy reason to seek it, though no two visitors agree on how they arrived. Within, orderly workbenches, spotless tool racks, and a vast, ever-burning hearth are maintained in immaculate condition. The forge can work metals and materials that ordinary smiths cannot touch, but its keepers do not promise miracles, and they never accept coin as the sole price.

Overview
A grand, hard-to-find forge known as the Forge of Eternity. It appears only to those who have a worthy reason to seek it, though no two visitors agree on how they arrived. Within, orderly workbenches, spotless tool racks, and a vast, ever-burning hearth are maintained in immaculate condition. The forge can work metals and materials that ordinary smiths cannot touch, but its keepers do not promise miracles, and they never accept coin as the sole price.
Atmosphere
Warm, quiet, and intensely focused. The air smells of clean metal, ash, and rain on hot stone. The steady rhythm of hammering carries through the halls, though the sound seems to come from a different room each time a visitor tries to follow it.
Style
A broad, low hall of pale stone and dark iron, built with the precise proportions of an old northern foundry. Its roof has a high central vent, while immense copper doors fit so neatly into their frames that no hinge is visible from outside.
What stands out
History
The Forge of Eternity was built centuries ago by smiths who came from a distant homeland, carrying their methods and the proportions of their native foundries into unfamiliar country. They made the hall a place of craft rather than commerce, binding its hearth to a planar fault so it would never go cold. The founders vanished one winter, leaving their tools arranged for the next day's work. Since then, the forge has appeared in different remote places, always intact and always ready for a worthy craft.
- Forging Services
The forge can shape any metal known to mortal craft, as well as materials brought from other planes. Its central anvil is a unique artifact, not a magic item available for purchase. A smith can attempt work on legendary materials or objects, but the process requires rare components, a meaningful sacrifice, and the owner's approval. The forge will not create an artifact on demand.
- Finding the Forge
Visitors must arrive with a clear purpose and an offering of skilled labor, hard-won knowledge, or a material the forge has never encountered. Wealth alone earns no welcome. Weapons and armor are inspected at the door, and anyone who lies about the history of an item is asked to leave before the first hammer falls.
- The Great Hearth
The hearth burns without fuel, drawing heat from a seam between the Material Plane and the Elemental Plane of Fire. Its bellows are operated by a ring of brass handles, each connected to a different wind. The anvil stands on a single block of dark meteoric iron, and every hammer strike rings through the building with a distinct, musical note.
