You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed. They are always prepared and do not count against the number of paladin spells you can prepare. At 3rd level, you also gain two Channel Divinity options. Compel the Aggressor: As an action, choose one creature you can see within 30 feet. It must make a Wisdom saving throw against your paladin spell save DC. On a failure, until the end of your next turn, it has disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you, and it cannot willingly move farther from you. Interpose: When a creature you can see within 10 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction and expend Channel Divinity to reduce that damage by 1d10 + your paladin level. You can use either option once per use of Channel Divinity.
While you are conscious, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you gain the following benefit: when a creature in the aura takes damage from an attack, you can use your reaction to reduce that damage by an amount equal to your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1). You must be able to see the creature taking damage. At 18th level, the aura’s range increases to 30 feet.
When you reduce damage to a creature with your Aura of Redress, the attacker takes radiant damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1), provided it is within 30 feet of you. This damage does not require an attack roll or saving throw.
As a bonus action, you become a living bulwark for 1 minute. You gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage, and your Aura of Redress has a range of 30 feet regardless of your paladin level. In addition, when a hostile creature you can see within 30 feet deals damage to one of your allies, you can use your reaction to move up to your speed toward that creature without provoking opportunity attacks. You must end this movement closer to that creature than you started. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Saving throwsAs a paladin, you are proficient in Wisdom and Charisma saving throws. Your subclass features use your paladin spell save DC: 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier.

Play close to allies and use your reactions thoughtfully: your aura makes protecting an endangered companion a meaningful choice each round.
Use Compel the Aggressor to make a dangerous foe focus on you, and save Interpose for a blow that could seriously injure or incapacitate someone. Your strongest turns often involve controlling space and preserving the party rather than maximizing damage.
Candidates usually serve as guards, mediators, or advocates before swearing the oath.
The initiation is a public promise to defend the vulnerable, hear the accused, and accept scrutiny in turn. Many orders require candidates to resolve a real dispute without resorting to force before they are recognized as paladins of the oath.
Ordinary people often welcome these paladins as protectors, especially when local authorities cannot be trusted.
Officials may value their courage but resent their scrutiny. Those who have suffered under unjust rulings may regard them with hope—or doubt whether any champion can truly change the system.
