The bog bubbles under a field of rusted helms and split shields. A ragged elf banner pole leans out of the mud, and something pale moves beneath it. Then the dead stand up, wet and quiet, and start for you.

A black pool ringed with broken helms and ribs of old shields. Footing is bad, and anything shoved in can sink fast.

The Broken Line
A low line of snapped spears, bent swords, and rotten shield boards. Good cover, bad ground.

The Banner Rise
A mud-caked rise with a rusted elf banner pole and a few dry bones still wearing mail. The prize is half-buried here.
Terrain Levers
- Kick loose a rotted shield wall to make a 10-foot stretch of slick mud difficult terrain.
- Haul a half-buried spear rack upright to create a little cover behind it.
- Break open a corpse snag of roots and armor to reveal a patch of sucking bog that can trap a creature that rushes through it.
