Hold the Wagon Line at Ember Pass

The pass narrows to a rough stone throat. Orcs are already in the rocks, and the wagons have nowhere to go but straight ahead. A burning cauldron hisses by the road, pack beasts scream, and the ledge above you shifts under loose stone. If the raiders break the center lane, the whole line will spill into the gorge.

Wagon Line
Broken wagon line packed with crates, pack beasts, and splintered wheels. Half cover, difficult ground, tight lanes.

Center Lane
A lower choke in the middle of the pass. Best route through, but open to javelins and the oil fire.

North Ledge
Stone ledges above the road. Good sightlines, bad footing, and the overhang hangs loose overhead.
Terrain Levers
- Burning-oil cauldron: one ally can spill it to make a 20-ft line of fire across the center lane until the start of the next round.
- Loose boulders: a shove or hit can send cover tumbling into a lane, turning it into difficult ground or blocking a 5-ft gap.
- Unstable overhang: a hard hit, thunder damage, or the round 2 rockfall can drop stone onto creatures beneath it.
