The tale
The last skeleton collapses with a dry clatter, and the sound rolls through the ruined gallery before the dripping water swallows it. Grit crunches beneath the party’s boots as they search the scattered bones and shadowed corners. The giant rats leave little worth keeping, but a purse and an old blade have survived among the rubble. Near the darklings’ hiding place, the party finds a strange river charm and a scrap of map, while a carefully wrapped potion remains sealed against the damp. The ink’s mark waits at the edge of the parchment as the party follows its faint line deeper into the ruins.
