The Tyrant beholder’s Hoard
Beneath the calcified remains of the Beholder and the lingering chill of defeated wraiths, a chamber of impossible wealth is revealed.
The tale
Beneath the calcified remains of the Beholder and the lingering chill of defeated wraiths, a chamber of impossible wealth is revealed. Hidden within a hollowed stalagmite and guarded by the grasping, now-still tentacles of ropers, the hoard reflects the mad genius of the tyrant. Magic hums in the stagnant air, radiating from items that have shaped the history of the Underdark. The floor is carpeted in gemstones and ancient relics, marking the end of a long and perilous descent into the dark.
