The Hag's Root-Choked Hoard

Beneath a heavy, blood-stained rug in the center of the basement, a trapdoor opens into a pit of damp soil and thick, pulsating roots. The air here is thick with the scent of ozone and rotting vegetation. Tucked between the gnarled wooden beams are several jars, bundles of dried herbs, and a few items of genuine power that the hag had pilfered from unlucky travelers who lost their way in the forest. The items are coated in a thin layer of iridescent slime, yet their magical potency remains untarnished by the gloom.
