Caelum Vane-Solis
Paladin 14, Oath of Vengeance, Cleric 4, Order Domain
Caelum Vane-Solis
Species
Brass Dragonborn
Appearance
Caelum is a striking brass dragonborn whose polished scales reflect torchlight in sheets of warm copper and old gold. His proportions are almost unnervingly precise, as though sculpted for a ceremonial monument, but his movements reveal the accumulated discipline of a soldier who has spent years standing through interrogations and funerary rites. His amber eyes remain unblinking for long stretches, fixed on whoever is speaking as if weighing every syllable. Swept-back horns rise from his brow, each bound with delicate silver filigree engraved with miniature contract clauses. The unexpected contradiction is that his immaculate armor is constantly dusted with fine charcoal from the counting houses, and he privately refuses to clean it until the case that caused the stain is resolved. He leaves behind an impression of heat, metal, incense, and unbearable attention.
“Measured, resonant, and liturgical. Caelum speaks in complete sentences with carefully chosen legal terminology, rarely contracts words, and pauses before names as if confirming their validity in an unseen ledger.”

Distinguishing Features
Highly reflective copper-brass scales that throw warm light across nearby surfaces.
Swept-back horns wrapped in engraved silver filigree.
Amber eyes that remain unnervingly unblinking during conversation.
A crimson inquisitorial sash with a clasp shaped like a balanced scale pierced by a sunbeam.
Fine charcoal dust on his armor from unresolved investigations, which he deliberately leaves in place.
A constant, almost unconscious touch to the clasp of his sash whenever trust is discussed.
Voice
“A deep, warm baritone with a faint metallic rasp, like a bronze bell dragged across stone. His voice carries easily through crowded counting houses without becoming loud. During prayer, it softens into an unexpectedly tender murmur.”
Clothing
Immaculate gleaming ceremonial half-plate over flowing white temple vestments, a crimson inquisitorial sash across his chest, silver horn filigree, white gloves marked with gold seal-rings, and a heavy sun-forged morningstar etched with righteous legal statutes.
Body Language
Caelum stands with his shoulders square and his hands folded over the head of his morningstar. He tilts his head only a few degrees when someone lies, never enough to seem theatrical. His thumb repeatedly checks the silver clasp of his crimson sash, especially when forced to trust another person's judgment. In anger, he becomes almost perfectly still.
