Kettik Argest
Rogue, Thief
Kettik Argest
Species
Kobold
Appearance
Kettik is a small black-scaled kobold whose scales have the dry, pebbled texture of river stones and catch blue highlights when wet. He stands with his weight balanced on the balls of his feet, heels never quite touching the ground, as though every floor might suddenly become a wall. His movements are quick but unnervingly quiet, full of tiny corrections and sideways glances. A blunt ridge of scales runs from his brow to the base of his neck like a broken crown, and several scales around his jaw have been polished smooth by years of nervous rubbing. His amber eyes are bright and beadlike, but his expression is often scholarly and calm, creating the contradictory impression of a meticulous archivist trapped inside a pickpocket's body. He leaves behind the sensation that something nearby has just become lighter.
“His voice is dry, quick, and slightly rasping, with hard clicks between certain words. He speaks Common in a careful, overly formal register when bargaining, then slips into rapid Draconic mutters when excited.”

Voice
“A dry, quick, rasping voice with precise diction, sudden clicks, and a habit of dropping to a whisper when he says something sincere.”
Clothing
Patched black leather armor reinforced with brass plates cut from old kettle lids, soft climbing wraps, fingerless gloves, a dark hooded cloak lined with stolen blue velvet, and a belt crowded with hooks, wire, chalk, folded maps, and tiny sealed vials
Body Language
He waits crouched rather than standing, one foot tucked behind the other and both hands loose near his hips. He tilts his head in sharp increments when listening, and his tail makes slow, deliberate counterweights whenever he changes direction. When lying, he becomes perfectly still. When telling the truth, he fidgets constantly.
