Appearance
Mizu is a small, striking young woman whose beauty is softened by exhaustion rather than innocence. Her movements are quiet and economical, with the unnerving stillness of a cat waiting beneath a table. Fine scars ladder her ribs, cross both shoulders, and disappear beneath her sleeves, while a puckered crescent cuts through her left eyebrow. Her hands are callused at the knuckles but carefully moisturized at the fingertips, an unexpected trace of vanity amid her hardened life. She smiles rarely, yet when she does, it is warm enough to make people forget she was watching the exits.
“Her voice is low, controlled, and slightly husky from years of speaking quietly. She clips the ends off words when tense, but when relaxed she lets certain syllables stretch with a soft, lilting cadence.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale crescent scar cuts through her left eyebrow.
Three small burn marks form a triangle on the inside of her right wrist.
Her left little finger bends slightly inward from an old break.
She wears a red thread bracelet that has been repaired with black hair.
She smells faintly of cedar oil, lamp smoke, and crushed mint.
Voice
“Quiet and smoky, with the clipped precision of someone who learned that every extra word could be dangerous.”
Clothing
She wears loose charcoal traveling robes split at the sides for movement, with the sleeves cut away from her forearms and secured by dark red ties. A weather-softened indigo cloak hangs from one shoulder. Her wrappings are clean but repeatedly mended, and tiny brass bells have been sewn inside the hem, not to make noise, but to remind her when someone has tampered with it.
Body Language
Mizu keeps her shoulders relaxed and her weight slightly forward, as if she is always about to slip through a closing door. She rarely turns her back on anyone. When angry, she becomes quieter and begins touching the scar in her eyebrow with two fingers.
