Appearance
Bronzed skin, dark hazel eyes, and black hair braided into two heavy ropes that reach the middle of her back. She is very young looking, with a narrow chin, soft cheeks, and an almost unfinished quality to her features, yet she carries herself with the rigid precision of someone trained to enter a throne room without making a sound. Her movements are economical and balanced, never hurried unless another person is in danger. Fine clothes cling neatly to her despite weeks of travel: deep green wool, cream linen, polished brass fastenings, and a riding cloak repeatedly brushed free of dust. The unexpected contradiction is her hands. They are carefully manicured and scented faintly with lavender, but the fingertips are rough from sword drills, reins, and splitting kindling for refugee camps. Within a minute of meeting her, most people notice her breathing. She inhales through her nose in slow, measured counts, as if still being taught courtly calm. When rattled, that control breaks into three shallow breaths followed by one sharp, audible exhale.
“Her speech is formal, measured, and unusually exact. She sounds older when addressing officials and unmistakably nineteen when speaking to children or people she trusts.”

Distinguishing Features
Her two thick braids are tied with mismatched ribbons, one green for her family and one yellow taken from a refugee child's sleeve.
A small brass signet ring has been worn smooth on the inside from constant rubbing.
She smells faintly of lavender soap, wet wool, and whetstone oil.
Her polished court manners coexist with the habit of eating quickly and standing near exits.
When frightened, her controlled breathing fractures into three shallow breaths and one sharp exhale that others can hear.
Voice
“A low, clear contralto with a faint rasp from cold roads and campfire smoke. She normally speaks softly enough to make people lean closer. When frightened, her breath catches audibly before each sentence; when enraged, the rasp vanishes and her voice becomes unnervingly calm.”
Clothing
A well-maintained deep green wool riding coat over cream linen, fitted charcoal trousers, soft leather boots, a rain-darkened blue cloak, a narrow silver belt, and a simple brass sunburst brooch inherited from her sister. Every garment is mended with nearly invisible stitches.
Body Language
She keeps her shoulders square and her chin level, but her left thumb repeatedly rubs the flat of her signet ring when she is uncertain. In conversation she stands slightly to one side of a group, positioning herself between strangers and anyone vulnerable. When angered, she stops moving altogether.
