Mawdat Qasrith
Cult Enforcer and Ritual Keeper
Mawdat Qasrith
Species
Human
Appearance
Mawdat is a narrow-shouldered human with a long, deliberate stride and the stillness of someone accustomed to being watched. His hands are the first thing people notice: the fingertips are permanently violet-stained from grinding dyes, while the palms are thick and shiny from years of polishing porcelain masks. He keeps his elbows close to his ribs and turns his whole torso rather than making quick head movements. His clothing hangs slightly too large, giving him a priestly silhouette, but the sleeves are repeatedly folded and stitched around his wrists. The unexpected element is his gentleness with fragile objects. He handles cups, eggshells, and children's toys with exquisite care, even while discussing executions in a calm voice.
“Soft, measured, and almost domestic. He speaks as though every conversation is taking place beside a sleeping child.”

Distinguishing Features
Purple pigment is embedded in the creases of his fingertips and will not wash away.
His porcelain mask is glazed in deep violet, but a hairline crack runs through the mouth, repaired with gold wire.
He carries himself with ceremonious patience while constantly measuring exits.
His sleeves are too long and secured with tiny brass pins instead of proper cuffs.
He smells faintly of burnt myrrh, wet stone, and fermented dye.
Voice
“A low, dry tenor with careful pauses and a faint rasp from years of breathing pigment dust.”
Clothing
A faded plum robe over a gray linen shirt, narrow trousers, and soft leather shoes made for silent movement. The robe has been let out at the shoulders and repeatedly repaired with blue thread. His belt is plain except for one carefully maintained silver buckle bearing the cult's rank mark. His purple porcelain mask is usually tied against his left hip rather than worn on his face.
Body Language
Mawdat stands with his weight balanced over the balls of his feet, hands folded around his mask cord. When uncertain, he rubs a thumb across the raised purple glaze of the mask. When lying, he becomes unusually warm and attentive, offering tea or adjusting another person's collar.
